Meet Chris Karem
"Why yes, as a matter of fact I am artsy-fartsy."
Chris Karem is a mostly self-taught contemporary realist oil painter. He is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and was born in 1963. He grew up in a very large and close-knit Lebanese family.

Chris enjoyed drawing quite a bit as a youngster but the call of sports, fishing, and tomfoolery pushed art to the side. After meeting and marrying his wife, Darlene and having four children, many years would pass.
After experiencing health issues, his mom gave him an art class in oils for Christmas in 2010. He started his very first painting in January of 2011, and his love and talent for art was re-kindled.
